Charles Teiva Hirshon was born in French Polynesia and studied Finance and Business Economics at The University of Southern California. He is of American-French-Polynesian origins.
After USC (University of Southern California), Charles worked for Hirshon Consulting Corp., a family owned company specializing in Import & Export services to the South Pacific, from 1984 to 1998.
From 1991-1993, while residing in Tahiti (French Polynesia), the United States Fiji Consulate Office contacted Charles to be appointed "Warden" for US citizens in French Polynesia.
From 1993 to 1998, Charles received his Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and practiced as an Investment Advisor for the firms of Select Capital Management and Soll Rowe Price Raffel & Browne located in California.
During that period of time, in 1995, Charles, envisioning the potential of the internet in its early stages, created the website TAHITI.COM to help promote his "fenua" (birth place).
By 1998, Charles finally decided to fulfill his long time desire to become a Real Estate Developer by teaming up first with a friend developer in Chicago until he decided to develop his own projects.
Throughout these years, Charles has maintained strong ties with the French community and in 2002, recognized for his outstanding business achievements, he was awarded the prestigious title of  French Foreign Trade Advisor by the Prime Minister of France, with an expertise in Real Estate Development.

In 2004, after participating in 3 successful developments within the City of Chicago, Charles decided to partner with his wife, Elisabeth, to undertake a fourth development located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Although this project was touched by the 2007/8 real estate and financial crisis affecting the US as well as the world; the project nevertheless was able to deliver and close on 38% of it total units. A true feat in this marketplace! In tandem, Charles also consulted on 2 high visibility developments located in French Polynesia: The Carlton Plage and Carlton Hills. As of 2007, Charles has begun his fifth real estate venture located in South Mountain, Arizona and has been actively searching for new development opportunities in the US, South Pacific and now Central & South America.

Charles is a descendant of King Karika Tara Apeapea ARIKI of The Royal House of Makea Karika ARIKI, Rarotonga, Cook Islands. His grand cousin Sir Thomas Davis KBE, KBE, Pa Tuterangi ARIKI, was former Prime Minister of the Cook Island (1978 to 1987).
